Construction of Micronic’s new manufacturing facility in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, is moving into its next phase. Following the completion of the groundwork, preparations are now underway for the erection of the building’s steel structure.
The first steel components arrived on site in August, marking an important milestone in the construction process. With the foundations and groundwork in place, the coming weeks will see the first major structural elements being installed and the new facility beginning to take shape.
From Groundwork to a New Manufacturing Facility
The 15,000 sq. ft. (1,500 m²) facility is being purpose-built to support Micronic’s continued growth in the United States and internationally. The site also allows for an additional 15,000 sq. ft. (1,500 m²) of future expansion, providing further flexibility for Micronic’s long-term growth. Once completed, it will provide a modern manufacturing environment with advanced injection molding capabilities, automated assembly lines, and a dedicated Equipment Assembly & Service department.
These capabilities will allow Micronic to further strengthen its manufacturing and service activities in the United States while supporting customers across North America, Latin America and other international markets.
Construction is currently progressing, with completion of the building expected in March 2027.
Building for Long-Term Growth
The transition from groundwork to structural construction is an important and highly visible step in the project. Over the coming months, the facility will develop from an open construction site into a modern manufacturing location designed around efficiency, scalability and sustainability.
For Micronic, the new Coatesville facility represents a significant expansion of its U.S. operations. It will increase local manufacturing capacity, bring production closer to key markets and provide additional resilience within Micronic’s global manufacturing network.
